After many years of working with people in catering who had themselves been in custodial care, and with a view to extending the FREEDOM series of food books, we began the development of a new book with the Scottish Prison Service and Fife College in the summer of 2020. 

Covid-19 willing, together we aim to both fund and launch a six week Pilot project centred around the publication of a new title early in 2021.

The Main project is expected to launch soon thereafter with continued economic support from ourselves and SPS, as well Strathclyde University, PERU (Policy Evaluation and Research Unit) at Manchester Metropolitan University and other funders. 

The expected outcomes for contributors are many, and the proposed outputs will be a full-colour hardback book of food recipes, writing and photography; a documentary film; enduring links with employment and a transferable model for others to adapt for their own.
