A page-turning thriller set in the moorish palace of the Alhambra in Granada in southern Spain.

  • Published in Spain to considerable acclaim, Song of Granada, due to its connection to terrorism, was initially banned from sale in the Alhambra. Discussion across the country about the rôle of censorship and the arts then followed with the writer appearing on radio and television to challenge criticism. Since the book contains not one swear work or gratuitous violent or sexual act the national conversation eventually gave way to recognition of a seminal work.
